PLACES TO PADDLE
The largest lake entirely within Arizona. Rent from us in Mesa, about an hour and a half away.
A LITTLE HISTORY
Theodore Roosevelt Dam was completed in 1911, creating the largest lake entirely within Arizona. Roosevelt Lake stretches about 22 miles through the Sonoran Desert and Tonto National Forest, covering more than 21,000 acres with roughly 128 miles of shoreline and views of the Sierra Ancha Mountains and Four Peaks.
Many of its coves and recreation sites are no-wake areas, which makes kayaking, paddleboarding and kayak fishing on Roosevelt Lake calm and relaxing. Watch for bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons and migrating waterfowl. Rent your kayak or paddleboard at Redline in Mesa, about an hour and a half from the lake.
