More about renting with Redline

Renting a kayak or paddleboard in Mesa

Redline is at 6343 E Main St in northeast Mesa, about 10 minutes from the Lower Salt River, 20 minutes from Saguaro Lake and 40 minutes from Canyon Lake. Book online or walk in. Same-day rentals are welcome during business hours.

Choosing the right kayak or paddleboard

Sit-on-top kayaks are great for beginners and easier to climb back onto if you fall in. Tandem paddleboards hold up to 600 lbs, our party paddleboard fits up to 6 people, and our pedal-drive fishing kayaks keep your hands free for fishing. Not sure? Ask us when you pick up and we’ll help you choose.

Paddling the Lower Salt River

If you’re new, practice on a lake before the river. The only rapids on the Lower Salt are a small Class I to II set between Water Users and Pebble Beach. Stay to the right side of the splits there to avoid them.

Floating with one car? Park at Granite Reef and paddle upstream, or use a rideshare to get back to your car. See our Lower Salt River guide.

Transporting your rental

No roof rack? No problem. We provide foam blocks and straps, show you how to load safely, and help you load up. We fit 6 paddleboards or 2 kayaks on any vehicle.

Taking your rental on a trip

Rent for up to a week and take it camping, to the mountains or even out of state. Just store it safely while it’s with you. Rent 2 days and the 3rd day is free.

Drop-offs at private lakes and parks

We drop off kayaks and paddleboards at private lakes and parks like Val Vista Lakes, The Islands, Lakeshore Dr, Dobson Ranch, Kiwanis Park, Tempe Town Lake and Desert Breeze Park. Call 480-548-8921 to set it up.

Groups and special requests

Planning a group trip, company outing or party? Call or text 480-548-8921 for group specials. We always have extra boards and kayaks on hand.
